Incorrect cottage located to us. No 6 instead of 7 as booked. Walls very thin. Received call first night for complaint about noisy TV. Got woken up at 5 am every morning after by next door guests. Walls not sound proof.

Anvil Stud Cottages ticks all the boxes, spacious room with great furniture and equipment in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Real coffee is super special.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay! Rooms are well-equipped and spacious! Amazing shower and the rusks were delicious! Will definitely visit again when we come down for a horse show!
I would anytime recommend Anvil Stud Cottages to anyone looking for good and luxury accommodation at the beautiful Valley of 1000 Hills, the owners are very friendly and helpful and all Covid-19 precautions have been followed, there is also plenty to do in the area and within short driving distance of most restaurants and malls, really excellent accommodation option.
I will definitely stay there again.

Friendliness in the hospitality industry is a given, but the manageress and staff at Anvil Stud go beyond being friendly and helpful. The attention to detail makes one very comfortable and secure. You are assured of a relaxing, peaceful stay.
Our accommodation was very nice. The unit is neat and comfortable. Very close to the Shongweni Club.
I ended up by staying much longer than originally anticipated and met with great help and arrangements. Would highly recommend Anvil Cottages.
I like the aspect of paying per person and not for the unit. Friendly environment, gentle dogs, owners not in your face.
We could not fault anything! Everything was perfect and attention is paid to the smallest detail. It was as if we were the first visitors to occupy the cottage. Lovely gardens, view and friendly staff and dogs! We hope to be back there in August!

Anvil Stud is absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay, it was so peaceful and relaxing. And the owners were to welcoming and friendly. And the cottages are so homely and warm and you just feel so comfortable, it's like your home away from home and I shall definitely be returning soon. A big thanks to Dot and Wayne for you hospitality.

A lot of attention is paid to small things like biscuits, hot chocolate and even fresh milk in the fridge. Even the wine glasses are of good quality which makes you feel even more at home. Good bedding is used and even an electric blanket for cold nights. We will definitely stay there again and recommend to other people.
The only problem I saw: with four people it is a bit cramped as 2 sleep in the lounge. So I would only advise families or people who know each other well to stay there if the group is made up of more than 2. The beds are comfortable, the pillows smelt divine and hygienic. Next time: top room, here we come!

Beautiful cottage is very spacious and caters for all needs. It is cleaned daily and the biscuit containers are refilled! Owner, Dot, is very nice and her dogs too lovely for words. We drove daily from there to Kearsney College for sports, nice enough location. It's very beautiful and green, the small holdings are very well looked after. It's very safe and peaceful at Anvil Stud Farm. I highly recommend it.
No milk for tea/coffee, we had to go and buy, luckily we were going out for dinner so this was not an extra trip. The double bed in the master bedroom nearest the window was slightly lopsided, my husband kept on having to move up or he would roll off the bed. Pillows not very comfortable.
Lovely place, friendly people, love the dog there. Thanks to LekkeSlaap, arrangements 10/10, no problems with check-in or anything. Will always use LekkeSlaap again.
There are several restaurants in the area, but the cottage is equipped in such a way that you can comfortably take care of yourself - we had a delicious barbecue one evening and enjoyed the wonderful calm of the surroundings. The distant call of an osprey was a welcome bonus!
Fantastic, with special attention to special things like turning on lights if you arrive late. Unit was very clean and the reception generous.
The beds all have down duvets and electric blankets which were wonderfully warm. They are very close to delicious restaurants and Kearsney College where my son participated in a hockey tournament.
Our stay although short was fantastic and the bed was so comfortable we slept like logs... thank you so much!
Anvil was an experience. Very friendly reception. Calm atmosphere. Little things that made a difference. It felt like our home away from home. Very neat and clean. Will stay there again anytime I'm in the area. Can recommend it with an open mind.
